Passing Marks for UGC NET Result 2025
To qualify for the UGC NET 2025 exam, candidates from the General (Unreserved) and General EWS categories must score a minimum of 40% aggregate marks across both papers. For candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC – Non-Creamy Layer, PwD, and Third Gender), a minimum of 35% aggregate marks is required.

UGC NET June Result 2025: Detailed Marking Scheme
- Each question carries 2 marks.
- For every correct answer, candidates will receive two marks.
- No negative markings for incorrect answers.
- No marks will be given for questions that are unanswered, unattempted, or marked for review.
- To answer a question, candidates must select one option as the correct option.
- If a question is incorrect, ambiguous, or has multiple correct answers, candidates who choose any of the correct options will be awarded marks.
- If a question is found to be incorrect and dropped, two marks will be awarded to candidates who attempted it, whether due to human or technical error. Since there’s no negative marking, candidates should select the closest possible answer.
